An Open Letter to Jake Worthington & Hudson Westbrook

Where do we even begin?!

Last week gave us one of those rare nights you wish you could bottle up and keep forever. The kind of night that reminds us exactly why we opened the doors to our little family-run bar in the first place – to create magical moments.

The night at Chattahoochee Joes all started simply enough. A visit, a few drinks, a few laughs. Then, somehow, Fortitude Valley felt a whole lot like Nashville, Tennessee and Texas rolled into one. And just like that, something special was set in motion.

Mr Worthington, watching you settle in like you’d been part of this place for years meant more than we can put into words. Sharing a few whiskey apples, having a laugh, and then seeing you step up onto that stage with Billie—no spotlight, no fuss, just pure love for the music. It wasn’t about performance. It was about connection.

And to Hudson, meeting you out in the Valley Mall and then having you walk through our doors with such genuine energy was something we won’t forget. You carried yourself with a kindness and humility that’s rare to come by, especially in this industry. When you stepped into our space, you didn’t just visit—you became part of it. Just a simple kinda guy hanging out with the locals.

What unfolded that night wasn’t planned. It wasn’t curated. It was real. Music, laughter, a go at the punching machine or two, and a room full of people who all felt like they were part of something bigger than themselves.

That’s what Chattahoochee Joe’s has always been about – Community. Moments that can’t be recreated, and you both gave us one of those moments.

For a small, family-owned bar tucked away in Fortitude Valley, Brisbane, your generosity and your time meant the world. You didn’t have to give us that night—but you did. And in doing so, you gave every single person in that room a story they’ll be telling for years to come.

From the bottom of our hearts, Thank You. This is a great reminder that no matter how big the stage gets, it’s the people, the energy, and the shared experience that truly matter.

Our doors and our stage will always be open for you, your family and your friends.

With all our gratitude in the world,
The Chattahoochee Joe’s Family
